Undivine Essence/Newshape/Nature's Elements/Ippos 2010 CD Review

This is a review of a split album between Undivine Essence and Nature's Elements who are 2 black metal bands that are from Israel, we will start off the review with Undivine Essence that play a style that I would describe as being nature orientated black metal.

Drums are mostly slow to mid paced drumming with no fast playing or blast beats, while the bass playing has a dark sound that follows the riffs that are coming out of the guitars with a powerful and distorted sound.

Rhythm guitars are mostly slow to mid paced black metal riffs that have a depressive/ambient feel with a lot of darkness  while the guitar leads are melodic sounding black metal guitar solos.

Vocals are high pitched black metal screams with some deep growls and clean vocals while the lyrics cover dark nature style themes, as for the production it has a very dark sound that gives the music a raw edge.

In my opinion Undivine Essence are a very good band that would appeal to fans of raw black metal that is nature orientated.

Now we will talk about the music of Nature's Elements, they play a style that I would describe as being dark sounding black metal.

Drums are mostly fast with some blast beats mixed in with some slow to mid paced drumming, while the keyboards are only used as an effect, as for the bass playing it has a very strong and powerful sound.

Rhythm guitars are mostly mid paced to fast black metal riffs that sound very primal, while the lead guitars are very dark and raw sounding guitar solos that contain a little bit of melody.

Vocals are all high pitched black metal screams with some deep growls, while the lyrics touch on Asataru style lyrics, as for the production it is very dark and raw sounding.

In my opinion Nature's Elements are a very good band and probably have the best music on this c.d and I feel this band would appeal to fans of raw pagan black metal. RECOMMENDED TRACK from UnDevine Essence "New Shape" and Nature's Elements "Odhinn". RECOMMENDED BUY.
