Anatomy/Where Angels Die/Destruktive Kommandoh/1996 CD Review

Anatomy are a band from Australia that plays a very  atmospheric form of satanic black metal and this is a review of their 1996 album "Where Angels Die" which was released by Destruktive Kommandoh.

Drums range from slow, mid paced to fast drumming with a lot of brutal blast beats being thrown in, while the keyboards have a very dark and atmospheric sound to them, as for the bass playing it has a very dark and powerful tone with some primitive black metal riffing.

Rhythm guitars range from slow, mid paced to fast black metal riffs that are very heavy, raw and primitive sounding with some dark melodies and death metal influences, while the lead guitars are very distorted and chaotic sounding black metal guitar solos and leads, as for the acoustic guitars which are only used briefly they have a very dark and medieval sound to them.

Vocals are a mixture of high pitched black metal screams and deep death metal growls, while the lyrics cover Satanism, Anti Christianity, Armageddon, and Darkness, as for the production it has a very heavy and powerful sound without taking away from the rawness of the music.

In my opinion Anatomy are a very good atmospheric satanic black metal band with a death metal edge and if you are a fan of this style, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Under The Wings" "Forbidden Realms" and "Where Angels Die". RECOMMENDED BUY.
